Green Venus Fly Trap Carnivorous Plant - 2" nursery pot

Beginner Friendly

☀️ Light: Bright light to full sun, depending on the species. Venus Flytraps and Sarracenia prefer several hours of direct sunlight daily, while some tropical pitcher plants prefer bright, indirect light.

💧 Water: Keep the growing medium consistently moist using distilled, reverse osmosis, or rainwater. Never allow the roots to dry out completely. Avoid tap water unless its mineral content is known to be very low.

🌡️ Humidity: Moderate to high humidity for many tropical varieties, with good airflow. Venus Flytraps and Sarracenia can tolerate outdoor conditions when properly acclimated.

🌡️ Temperature: Generally 65 to 85°F during active growth, depending on the species. Venus Flytraps and many Sarracenia require a seasonal winter dormancy.

🌱 Soil: Nutrient free carnivorous plant mix, typically sphagnum moss with perlite or horticultural sand. Never use standard potting soil or fertilizer.

🌿 Growth: A fascinating bundle of insect eating plants that may include Venus Flytraps, Sundews, and Sarracenia. Their specialized traps catch insects naturally, making them an exciting addition to any plant collection.

✨ Mature Size: Varies by species. Many Venus Flytraps remain compact, while Sundews and Sarracenia can spread or grow taller as they mature.

🐾 Pet Friendly: ✅ Non Toxic to cats and dogs.
