String of Pearls Regular Trailing Plant

Jackie Kennedy famously said "Pearls are always appropriate." We agree! Our String of Pearls has super healthy green orbs of trailing awesomeness. They reward careful attention and trail beautifully in any hanging planter. This plant is known as senecio rowleyanus and rosary plant.

The string of pearls plants is semi-succulent, which means they are more tolerant of dry soil than wet soil. Over-watering this plant is very common, and each of its watering sessions should be spaced out. The topsoil should dry out before it is watered again. When the weather becomes warmer, you may also want to spray the leaves with some water to increase humidity.

* Important, best is to bottom water, leave /soak it in water for 45 minutes then remove. Never allow water to sit on pearls. Let the soil dry completely between each watering.

Available in the following packaging based on your preference:

• Nursery Pot - Standard plastic 2" or 4" or 6" hanging planter pots that can be placed inside a larger pot or left as is until it outgrows it.
• Marie Terracotta 4"  - a beautiful molded terracotta pot that is porous and fire glazed to allow plant roots to breathe, color works well with any decor and will develop a beautiful patina color over time. Includes matching dish underneath to catch water drainage and protect surfaces. It includes 4 of our 2" String of Pearls. The customer will need to re-pot the plants inside the Marie. Extra soil will be provided.
•  Amelia Porcelain Hanging 4" - The planter made with sealed porcelain. Has a hole at the bottom for drainage and can be put flat on a surface too if that is preferred. Comes with an S hook for easy hanging too.  It includes 3 x 2" String of Pearls. The customer will need to re-pot the plants inside the Amelia. Extra soil will be provided.
